After carefully analyzing this situation and based on observation, I find that Lajika is "nice" to who she wants to be nice to but finds it ok to behave unprofessionally towards others.This property advises that enhanced cleaning and guest safety measures are currently in place. I will never attempt to bring my business to this hotel so long as she is working there. Bottom line, it is never ok to allow employees to behave in such a way that she did. She yelled out, "Buh-bye.you can leave now!!! Who in their right mind behaves like that at work in front of guests or soon to guests.!?.and why is it ok for her to act like that!? I have a real problem with that because she doesn't need to be working in public with that type of attitude. At that point, I was upset and I didn't want to cause a scene in front of the guests which she had already done so I just told her that I wasn't a guest, yet. I was trying to explain to her that the reason for me waiting in the lobby was to avoid waiting in my car which exceed unbearable temperatures. She responded in the rudest way, "Well you're not a guest and you've been waiting here too long so you're going to have to leave. I told her that I was waiting for someone. A couple of hours had gone by and Lajika had the audacity to walk up to me and rudely asked me if I was a guest. The same young lady that I spoke to the day before was working and I told her that I was going to meet my friend in the lobby and asked if it was okay to wait for him until around 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8th to meet my friend in the hotel lobby. by this time I was already outside and my friend had showed up but because of all the chaos, we decided to stay someplace else that evening and return back to the Maple Tree the following day. Apparently, there was some sort of small fire that developed somewhere within the hotel and the alarm went off which caused the guests to have to temporarily evacuate the hotel. I don't know this young lady's name but she was very polite and professional. Without hesitation, she kindly responded with a yes and a smile. and he was the one "footing the bill" I went inside of the hotel and told the young lady who was sitting behind the desk my situation and asked if it would be okay if I could sit in the lobby and wait for my friend instead of waiting in the car which reached three degree temperatures. This past Monday, I was going to stay at the hotel along with a friend who I was going to meet in the lobby because he didn't get off work until 7:00 p.m. I am somewhat familiar with the Maple Tree Inn as I've stayed one night at this hotel sometime ago. Her name is Lajika and she was EXTREMELY rude and needs to be reprimanded, immediately! I am in the process of having the interior of my home remodeled which has caused me to seek lodging via hotel stays for the next month possibly 2 months. I turned down the opportunity to stay at this hotel due to the unprofessionalism of one of the front desk staff employees.
